Military Mutt of the Month:
Some of our rescue dogs are available for members of the military community to save a life by honorably adopting homeless adult dogs.
A number of our adult shelter dogs, large dogs and special needs animals – those most in need of a loving, forever home – are available for adoption at no cost to our Service Members and Veterans, and Reservists. The medical bill for an adult dog in our care is $375. To help sponsor our military mutt, and allow us to continue to offer these dogs at no cost to service members, please donate here. Every little bit helps!
Should the animal you sponsor get adopted, the money will be applied to the next sponsored dog.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
Hi! I’m Betty! I am a nearly 4 year old shepherd mix and I am a loving soul! I love hanging out with my friends at Tails of Courage, but I would love to find my forever home soon! I am a bit timid but really come out of my shell around other dogs. I would love a quiet home with another dog. I like soft beds and just hanging out. I am good on a leash and not high energy. I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and more. I was treated for heartworm but am all clear now, and get my monthly preventative.
Tails of Courage is a Pets for Vets partner and provides screened and tested rescue animals to Pets for Vets for training and adoption. Please contact Pets for Vets directly for more information on their wonderful program. Tails of Courage does NOT adopt through Pets for Vets.
Hi I’m Slim! I love to go on hikes with my buddies in TOC’s Hike with the Pack program. I am energetic and playful. I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and more. I am pretty good on a leash and crate trained. I am about 1 year old. I can be a little picky with other dogs and prefer to be the only dog in the home. Although I will behave in group play and am responding well to training.
Hi I’m Frank. My buddy Fancy was just adopted. I am about 2 1/2 years old and love to run, hike, go for walks, play and meet new people. I am very friendly and have energy. I am believed to be a husky/border collie mix but no one knows for sure. I am fixed, up to date on shots, microchipped and more.
Justice is a nearly 8 year old hound mix. She was a mama and raised her wonderful pups like a pro. Her pups have been adopted and she is now looking for her forever home. She is extremely gentle and not very big. She loves to go for calm walks and just hang out on soft beds. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, fixed and more.
